When I was fifteen years old, Antonio Hernandez Favela had sexual relations with me while I was at Rancho El Milagro. Tony continued having sexual relations with me until I left at the age of 20. The abuse happened in the small children’s dorm. On certain occasions, he said that I was his fiancé. After having relations he always prayed to ask for forgiveness.

When I was 20 years old he bought me some property as blackmail so that I would not speak about these abuses. (Editor’s note: The MRO Foundation has copies of the payment receipts for a piece of land in this victim’s name. MRO Foundation board members met with the person who purchased this piece of land from this victim, when she sold it.)

I had sexual relations with Tony Hernandez Favela in exchange for him not doing anything to my sisters. I feel bad and ashamed for what happened I’ve never talked about it with anybody until recently. This summer when I found out that my brother was going to be employed at Miracle Ranch Orphanage, I had to tell him everything about what Tony Hernandez Favela did to me. Now that I am an adult, I am sharing the truth of what happened to me at Miracle Ranch Orphanage so that it might prevent this from happening with the children who are living there now.
