Comment on 10News Looks Into Orphanage Abuse Allegations by Don Meek http://miracle-ranch.org/35/10news-looks-into-orphanage-abuse-allegations/#comment-9 Don Meek Fri, 06 Jun 2008 23:44:00 +0000 http://miracle-ranch.org/35/10news-looks-into-orphanage-abuse-allegations/#comment-9 I am a member of the MRO Foundation Board of Directors, I live in Walnut Creek, CA (north of San Francisco, and have been involved in the investigation of the abuses at the Ranch from the first time we heard of the allegations. There has been sufficient evidence presented to convince me that the abuses happened, and that the Mexican judicial system should be doing more than they have done. At the very least, Tony & Edna should have removed themselves voluntarily from any position of authority at the Ranch until the system makes a conclusive ruling on the charges. This has not happened and we, the Board, are powerless to make it happen. So we will just have to wait until the justice system prevails, which I believe it will. In the meantime, my heart goes out to all the victims over the years who have had the courage and conviction to come forward and present their testimony. It have been incredibly difficult and sad to relive those horrible moments in their young lives. To you, I offer my heartfelt thanks, and I know you will be vindicated by the system and you will be able to restart your lives with a new vision. Thank you all, and God Bless you all. Comment on Investigative report (part 1 of 2) from 10 News on Baja Orphanage by Hamfam4Jesus http://miracle-ranch.org/45/abuse-allegations-video-1/#comment-8 Hamfam4Jesus Tue, 20 May 2008 19:36:36 +0000 http://miracle-ranch.org/45/abuse-allegations-video-1/#comment-8 This is an incredibly sad and frustrating story. Whether or not Tony & Edna participated in the abuse should not be the prevailing question. They allowed abusers to have contact with the children they vowed to protect and for that reason alone, Tony & Edna should step down or perhaps to save face, retire. It appalls me that anyone claiming to be a Christian and caring for orphans would allow children to be violated and continue on for years. Have they no conscience. How can they look in the mirror each day knowing that dozens of children have been phyiscally and emotionally scarred for life. How can they sleep at night with the knowledge that those precious children (many now adults) have nightmares, are afraid to sleep, have flashbacks of the abuse they endured as children, are afraid to love, afraid to trust and question the validity of Christianity because of the abusive behavior they endured in Jesus name. The experiences described by the victims are not made up for money. They are real and I know because I am a friend of a victim of the "Miracle" Ranch. She is an American citizen that proudly served her country in the Army, she is not an illegal looking for documents as was implied in another comment. My friend shared her experiences with me long before the news became public. To those of you who were abused at the ranch, you are precious in the sight of God, you are not dirty. The shameful behavior of your abusers is NOT YOUR FAULT. God will not allow them to go with serious consequences for their actions. Thank you for being brave enough to come forward to try and spare other children from the abuse you endured. This is an incredibly sad and frustrating story.
